Sharkey is opening the new office in June after winning around £50m of work in the first five months of 2017. The Manchester office will be the Sharkey’s second outside Scotland, having opened a London office in 2013.
Sharkey’s £50m haul for the year to date includes the £20m fit-out of the Indigo Hotel, as well as work on Staybridge apartments in Dundee for client Intercontinental. Other major contracts include a £13m refurbishment and new-build project at the Old Course Hotel for Kohler, and the fit-out of Cirrus Logic’s new Edinburgh HQ under an £11m deal.
Sharkey has also won a deal to fit out Clydesdale Bank’s Studio B branch in Kensington, and has worked on the £9m RBS Entrepreneurial Hub in Edinburgh.
Managing director Billy Harrison said: “Confidence is high within the business and we see further opportunities to build on our strong client relationships and increase market share.
“The continued success of the business demonstrates the strength of our reputation for consistently managing and delivering complex projects for a range of multi-sector UK and international blue chip clients.”
