Sharkey’s premier office transformation

We are delighted to announce our appointment by Artisan Real Estate to deliver the refurbishment of Albany House, a prominent office building in the heart of Edinburgh city centre.

This exciting design and build project will transform this vacant office accommodation into a contemporary 103 bedroom Hub by Premier Inn. Retaining the building’s sandstone façade, the development will provide five storeys of modern guest accommodation, including major alterations to the existing top floor and a new contemporary roof structure. Once complete, the scheme will breathe new life into Albany House, creating a landmark hospitality destination that complements Edinburgh’s vibrant city landscape.

Delivering a project of this scale within one of Edinburgh’s busiest and most attractive locations presents a number of challenges, including complex logistics, site constraints and the integration of new works within the existing structure. However, Sharkey’s extensive experience in successfully delivering refurbishment projects in busy urban environments places us in a strong position to overcome these challenges.
