This Cat-B transformation of 25,000 sqft of office space in the core of London’s financial hub involved the fit-out of a vacant floor within a fully occupied building. The works entailed the provision of completely new M&E infrastructure, including fully resilient computer room air conditioning and a state of the art building management system. Workspace was provided for 350 staff with a strong emphasis on the provision of appropriate AV technology to allow building users to interact with colleagues worldwide. Working in an environment where daily foreign transactions run into trillions of dollars brought many challenges, not least the need to successfully avoid any form of disruption to neighbouring financial service businesses, a number of whom regularly work to US time zones.
