Sharkey Target Platinum First

Located at the core of Edinburgh’s burgeoning financial district, the project will see Sharkey undertake a transformational  fit-out across three levels of Capital Square, the City’s latest landmark office development, creating a contemporary and flexible working environment for members of staff relocating from two existing offices.

In support of Brodies’ culture and values, Sharkey will deliver the Capital Square fit-out to accredited environmental standards that will enhance the health and wellness of building users. Employing the WELL Building Standard, a performance-based environmental monitoring system, the project is targeting a ‘Platinum’ rating – one of the first to be achieved in Scotland.

Sharkey helps Red Carnation blossom

This exciting £6m development, for luxury hotel operator Red Carnation Hotel Collection, is located at 100 Princes Street in Edinburgh and entails the extensive restoration and remodelling of the elegant Category B listed building, previously home to The Royal Over-Seas League.

The project, which will include the creation of 29 bedrooms and an executive lounge overlooking the iconic Edinburgh Castle, carefully blends the boutique atmosphere of the group’s prestigious Hotel 41 in London with the building’s valued heritage and historic importance.  It is a transformational project in a stunning location and one we are delighted to have been entrusted with.

Sharkey Speed to Support the NHS

The transformational project will entail the comprehensive refurbishment and fit-out of the Community Health Partnerships Ltd town centre facility. Remodelling works will incorporate adaptations to the building’s M&E services, including a new plant installation at roof level and the project will be progressed with all of the other floors of the centre occupied as normal but appropriately secured and protected to ensure they remain fully operational at all times.

Sharkey returns to Home of Golf

Our appointment is testament to the excellent relationship we enjoyed with our client in delivering the hotel bedroom upgrade and leisure extension project completed for them in December 2017 and the expertise we demonstrate consistently in this sector.

The £13m multi-phase project will be completed in 2021 and form a new, exciting part of the Old Course Hotel’s unique hospitality offering for the historic 150th Open championship taking place in 2022 on the world famous links immediately adjacent to the hotel. The works, which commenced on site on 6 January 2020, include the adaptation and expansion of the existing west wing to provide 13 additional guest bedrooms. Also involved is the modification of the iconic ‘Green Sheds’ to allow expansion and upgrade of the ‘Hall of Champions’.

We are thrilled to be partnering with Kohler Co. once again on this exciting project in such an iconic property.
